Veneers are cosmetic dentistry products that can give new life to your smile. Created in Hollywood to give actors perfect onscreen smiles, veneers are thin layers that fit over the outside of your existing teeth. They can be used to solve a myriad of cosmetic problems, such as discolored, broken and chipped teeth and large gaps between teeth. They can also be used to change the shape of a particular tooth to make it look more uniform. Veneers are easy to care for, affordable and can be attached in much less time and with fewer appointments than it takes to prepare crowns or implants.
Veneers are made in one of two ways. Composite veneers can be built up directly in the mouth, right in the office. Veneers made of dental porcelain are created in a dental lab and then adhered to the teeth by the dentist.
We have been closely monitoring the rapidly changing situation in regard to Coronavirus (COVID-19). In accordance with recent recommendations from the CDC and the American Dental Association (ADA), van Greuningen Dentistry has decided to suspend elective and non-emergent services at this time.
We hope to return to normal operation on April 6, but we are keenly aware this might need to change depending on the situation at that time. If you have an appointment during this time, we will be in touch to reschedule as soon as we are able.
We will, however, be available for emergency needs during this time. Please call 404-262-1456 for any dental emergency. We will be available during limited hours to handle administrative or other issues. We will check messages frequently during business hours. If you reach us during non-business hours, please follow the directions in the message.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Victor van Greuningen, DMD and Team.
